Juniors will have the opportunity to take the PSAT on October 15, 2014. This test is for college-bound juniors and it costs $14. This test gives students the opportunity to practice taking a timed standardized test, enters them in the National Merit Scholarship competition and gives students feedback about critical academic skills. Mrs. Troxel needs to order the tests soon, so please let her know no later than next Friday, September 19 if you are interested. There will be a sign-up sheet in the high school office.
If you are a college-bound high school senior, you should be applying to the colleges of your choice now. Most schools begin processing their applications after September 15th, so now is the time to apply to give yourself the best chance of being admitted and to be fully eligible for your college's scholarships and other financial aid offerings. Many technical college programs have waiting lists so do not delay, apply today!
Check out the links under high school for all Wisconsin Colleges, Universities, and Technical Colleges. If you plan to get on-the-job training, or getting a certification of some sort, you should be researching your options now. Mrs. Troxel can help you. She is available at the High School most weekdays (at REMS on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons.) Her door will have information about her availability that is updated weekly. |
