I sent the following email to all seniors.
Seniors who may be applying for the Herb Kohl Scholarship; The deadline to turn in applications to Mrs. Troxel has been moved. The announcement was made official today that we have a little more time before we need to submit our nominee to CESA #3. Please turn in your applications to Mrs. Troxel no later than November 20, 2014. This gives our committee time to choose a nominee for our school, help the student polish the application and then get it to CESA #3 by December 5. Plan ahead as there are letters of recommendation that need to be included with the application. Have a great day, Mrs. Troxel 7-12 School Counselor Riverdale School District 608-739-3116 ext. 3115 The link to this scholarship application and other scholarship information is under the High School portion of this website or as follows: http://staceytroxel.weebly.com/financial-aidscholarships.html Here is a form to use when asking a teacher or other reference for a letter of recommendation:

Southwest Tech is pleased to announce a new opportunity in which students ages 16 and over may be interested. Through a grant that Southwest Tech has received, they are expanding nursing/healthcare program course offerings to include alternative delivery methods of online or ITV in our local outreach centers (or possibly in school districts if there are enough students at one site). These courses are being made available to the general public as well as to any high school students who may want to explore whether or not they are interested in nursing or another health-related field before fully committing to enrolling in a program. If students do continue into nursing or another healthcare field, they will have a head start on their chosen career. Click on the link below to view the flyer for more information.
Scholarships opportunities will begin to increase from now until the end of the school year. Seniors should be looking at many different sources for scholarships including their college of acceptance. Regularly checking the scholarship page on this website will give students information that I receive and publish regularly. Please go to: Financial Aid/Scholarships under the High School heading to stay up to date. A scholarship packet will be given to all seniors soon.
