What to bring?
Cooperative Extension is pleased to bring you our next issue of “Parents Make a Difference Newsletter”. The newsletters are based on the results of the 2017 Southwest Wisconsin Youth Risk Behavior Survey. The focus of this newsletter is: Preventing Alcohol Abuse.
Once again UW HELP will be launching our spring texting campaign and we ask you to encourage your high school juniors to sign up. Students will receive text messages that not only assist them with the transition to their senior year, but also get them thinking about attending a UW System campus. Juniors will receive text messages about topics like:
High school juniors may join the program by texting PREPARE to 99000. To receive all texts, students should join by April 4. Juniors will receive approximately three texts per month from UW HELP; messages will continue through the summer, and students may opt out at any time.
Boost Courses are offered from out BOOST Consortium Schools through our Collaborative Learning Center. The schools included are Pecatonica, Highland, Kickapoo, and Mineral Point. We are able to share courses with each other to help students better complete their course plan and avoid scheduling conflicts or to take courses that are not offered in our High School building. Check out the Scheduling portion of our website for more information. The 2018-2019 courses are being updated currently so check back often if you are interested!
